As you may already know, Great Britain has been renowned for centuries (and the Millennium Seoul Hilton for months) for it's Great British puddings - usually a magical concoction of flour, milk, eggs, butter, sugar suet and dried fruits. But in the second half of the twentieth century a perverse pre-occupation with diets and slimming brought an insidious anxiety, if not paranoia, about what was good to eat. Rescue was at hand, however, with the inaugural Pudding Club Dinner held in the spring of 2003, the first of 8 to date.The next Pudding Club is not yet scheduled. Please keep checking this website for details. As before, a traditionally "light" three courses will be followed by the presentation of the Parade Of Puddings, a selection of the hottest, stickiest and most indulgent puddings imaginable, all served with lashings of Bird's Custard.
